Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by!
My family and I went to the farmers market the other weekend and it was gorgeous out. We try to go every weekend but, it usually ends up being every other. A lot of people visit the Des Moines Farmer's Market so at times it can seem clustered and overwhelming. But to me, there is something about all kinds of people coming together that just makes me happy.
Enough rambling now. I have a few things I like to do every time I head to the market.
The first must of mine when we get there is get a coffee. I get an iced coffee with almond milk and sugar free caramel syrup to be exact. Java Joes Coffee House has been my favorite lately.

Snacks.... There is sooooo many options you have to decide from for snacks. That is my next must. There are pastries, egg rolls, burritos, fruit... Basically, you name it and you can probably find it. A rule of mine is always, always, always, get a snack!! Is that the same for anyone else?

My last must, some would consider a no brainer. Produce! You have to get yourself some fresh veggies when you hit up the farmer's market. This last week I got tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers, and onions. There are many different vendors to choose from. I don't think I go to the same one every time.

It feels great to support local businesses from food and crafts, to your produce farmers. Maybe I'll see you at the farmer's market some time?!
xo,
Abby
